Hearthstone<\/em><\/a> Battlegrounds<\/a> Season 5<\/a> added 14 powerful Tier 7 minions to the game mode. However, these minions won’t be accessible every game: right now, there are only two circumstances in which they’ll show up. First, if a player picks new hero Thorim, Stormlord<\/a><\/strong>, they’ll get to Discover a Tier 7 minion once they spend 65 gold. In those cases, that’s the only Tier 7 minion showing up that game — assuming it doesn’t get copied or something similar.<\/p>\n

But the real party happens when a specific Anomaly is present in the game. Anomalies<\/a> are a new gameplay mechanic from Season 5 that introduces a big game-changing effect to every game before it begins. One particular Anomaly, called Secrets of Norgannon<\/strong>, adds Tavern Tier 7 to the game, meaning that every player can upgrade their tavern to that level — and there will be five copies of each Tier 7 minion for players to find. But besides buying them from the tavern, in those games players will also be able to acquire Tier 7 minions from other means, such as getting triples once they’re at Tier 6, or from Patient Scout<\/a>.<\/p>\n
