{"id":173979,"date":"2024-02-08T07:00:06","date_gmt":"2024-02-08T13:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blizzardwatch.com\/?p=173979"},"modified":"2024-02-08T10:07:18","modified_gmt":"2024-02-08T16:07:18","slug":"diablo-2-resurrected-ladder-season-6-start","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blizzardwatch.com\/2024\/02\/08\/diablo-2-resurrected-ladder-season-6-start\/","title":{"rendered":"When does Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder Season 6 start?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We now have an official start date for <em><a href=\"https:\/\/blizzardwatch.com\/category\/diablo\/diablo-2\/\">Diablo 2 Resurrected<\/a><\/em>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blizzardwatch.com\/tag\/diablo-2-ladder-season-6\/\">Ladder Season 6<\/a>: <em>Diablo 2<\/em> Ladder Season 6 will start <a href=\"https:\/\/us.forums.blizzard.com\/en\/d2r\/t\/diablo-ii-resurrected-season-6-begins-february-22\/164091\"><strong>February 22, 2024, at 5 p.m. PT<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you aren&#8217;t familiar with Ladder Seasons, they&#8217;re competitive play leaderboards which allow players who are willing to start a brand new level 1 character on a ladder realm to see how they&#8217;re doing versus other players &#8212; how fast they&#8217;re leveling, how many monsters they&#8217;ve killed, and so on. To do so, players must re-roll as a new character with a special Seasonal setting, so everyone starts from a level playing field.<\/p>\n<p>There are essentially four separate ladders every Season for people playing on different difficulty modes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pre-Expansion Ladder<\/strong> has players leveling with just the content from the original\u00a0<em>Diablo 2<\/em> before the release of the\u00a0<em>Lord of Destruction<\/em> expansion for the game.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pre-Expansion Hardcore Ladder<em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is much the same as the Pre-Expansion Ladder, but uses the Hardcore rules, so if you die on your character, that character is no longer playable and you must create a new character at level 1 and start all over again.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Ladder\u00a0<\/strong>is much the same as the Pre-Expansion Ladder, save that it includes all of the content from the\u00a0<em>Lord of Destruction<\/em> expansion to\u00a0<em>Diablo 2.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>And the\u00a0<strong>Hardcore Ladder\u00a0<\/strong>is the same as the Pre-Expansion Hardcore Ladder, but includes all of the content from\u00a0<em>Lord of Destruction.\u00a0<\/em>Dying here will again result in having to roll a new character as a single death renders characters unplayable in Hardcore mode.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Players who are faster or able to kill more end up at the top of the leaderboard.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-144379\" src=\"https:\/\/blizzardwatch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Diablo2ResurrectedCinematic.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"675\" height=\"380\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blizzardwatch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Diablo2ResurrectedCinematic.png 675w, https:\/\/blizzardwatch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Diablo2ResurrectedCinematic-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/blizzardwatch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Diablo2ResurrectedCinematic-200x113.png 200w, https:\/\/blizzardwatch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Diablo2ResurrectedCinematic-80x45.png 80w, https:\/\/blizzardwatch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Diablo2ResurrectedCinematic-398x224.png 398w, https:\/\/blizzardwatch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Diablo2ResurrectedCinematic-620x350.png 620w, https:\/\/blizzardwatch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Diablo2ResurrectedCinematic-340x191.png 340w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 675px) 100vw, 675px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>When is <em>Diablo 2 Resurrected<\/em> Ladder Season 6?<\/h2>\n<p>One important thing to keep in mind with every global release is that time zones will throw a wrench into the specific time the ladder starts, and maybe even the date depending on where in the world you&#8217;re playing. February 22 at 5 PT is actually February 23 at 10 a.m. if you&#8217;re playing from Seoul, South Korea, for instance. For people outside the US, this is a slight shift from other ladder seasons, due to Daylight Saving Time changing things relative to time throughout the world &#8212; 5 p.m. PT is 1 a.m. GMT, to give our European friends a hand.<\/p>\n<p>This may seem like a tiny nitpick, but if you&#8217;re trying to top the leaderboard as the fastest leveler, a variable of an hour can be a huge deal. Even if you&#8217;re not pushing the leaderboard, you may be excited enough to start with the first waves of people who are, anyway.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll see you <strong>February 22<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p><em>Originally posted October 9, 2023.
