World of Warcraft<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>is celebrating the launch of\u00a0The War Within<\/em><\/a> with two Twitch items<\/a> that can be earned by supporting your favorite streamers during the launch period. The Watcher of the Huntress Pet can be earned as part of the Support the Streamer campaign; purchase two total Twitch subscriptions (either for yourself or for another viewer) during any World of Warcraft\u00a0<\/em>stream between 3pm PDT\/6pm EDT on August 26, 2024 and 10am PDT\/1pm EDT September 26, 2024<\/strong> and you’ll receive a code to add the pet to your account (instructions below). This pet is brand new to World of Warcraft<\/em> and it’s unknown whether it’ll become available again at a later date.<\/p>\n

The Ghastly Charger Mount can be earned by watching eligible World of Warcraft<\/em> streams between 3pm PDT\/6pm EDT on August 26, 2024 and 10am PDT\/1pm EDT September 19, 2024 for a total of 4 hours<\/strong>. This mount was previously available from the long-defunct\u00a0WoW <\/em>Trading Card Game but it fetched a pretty gold piece on the secondary markets. It’s also a flying mount and can take full advantage of Skyriding<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Here’s how to earn the Ghastly Charger Mount and the Watcher of the Huntress Pet starting with linking your Battle.net account to Twitch.<\/p>\n

How to connect your Battle.net account to your Twitch account<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s a straightforward process that will only require logging into Twitch and then going to your Battle.net settings \u2014 but keep your Battle.net Authenticator handy if you use one.<\/p>\n

  1. Login to your\u00a0Twitch<\/a>\u00a0account.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Go to the\u00a0Battle.net Connections<\/a>\u00a0pane. If you\u2019re not already logged into your Battle.net account, you\u2019ll be prompted to do so.<\/li>\n
  3. Scroll until you find the Twitch option, and click\u00a0+Connect<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Follow the instructions.<\/li>\n
  5. Watch the streams.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Twitch channels that have drops active are labeled as such (there\u2019s a \u201cDrops Enabled\u201d message near the stream categories). A great way to keep track of your progress is at the Twitch\u00a0Drops Inventory<\/a>\u00a0page, which constantly updates with how close you are to earning the drop.<\/p>\n

    Once you finish watching for the required amount of time, a clickable message will pop up in the stream chat telling you that your drop is ready to be claimed, or you can claim it via the Drops Inventory page. You\u2019ll receive the confirmation that you got it at that time, and you can always check the Drops Inventory page later to review successful acquisition.<\/p>\n

    Note that the rewards are independent of possessing or playing the game in question — they’re associated with your Battle.net account so they’ll be available when you play the game.<\/p>\n
