World of Warcraft<\/a>‘s<\/em> next expansion The War Within<\/em><\/a> will be releasing on August 26 (with early access beginning on August 22)<\/a>, and due to the published 2024 roadmap<\/a> we already know that the first post-release update will be patch 11.0.5<\/a>. While the timing of the patch interval in The War Within<\/em> is unknown, the fact that the 20th Anniversary celebration is advertised as taking place “all through the months of November and December<\/a>” we should expect it to release in plenty of time for that.\u00a0Our prediction then is that patch 11.0.5 will release the week of October 29, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The week of October 29 is not a firm guarantee, however. It’s certainly possible that it arrives earlier during the week of October 22, and while it sounds like the Anniversary will start on November 1 the language is just ambiguous enough that a November 5 release wouldn’t violate the promised arrival. Still, it makes sense for the events to start rather than later so October 29 remains the best bet.<\/p>\n
