There are four new Renown<\/a> factions in The War Within<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>that players will become familiar with when the expansion begins on August 26<\/a> — the Council of Dornogal<\/a>, Assembly of the Deeps<\/a>, Hallowfall Arathi<\/a>, and the Severed Threads<\/a>. Much like the other Renown factions in\u00a0World of Warcraft<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>each of these groups will primarily occupy one zone in Khaz Algar and be introduced as the player moves through each zone.<\/p>\n

Each faction has an unlocking point during the zone story questline at which point players will begin earning reputation and Renown levels, as well as gaining access to each faction’s quartermaster and their specific rewards. Here is where to find each of the new Renown quartermasters in The War Within<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Council of Dornogal<\/h2>\n

The Council of Dornogal faction opens up when you complete Impossible Odds<\/a> as part of the opening questline in the Isle of Dorn zone. The faction quartermaster, Auditor Balwurz<\/strong><\/a>, can be found in the Foundation Hall<\/a> of Dornogal<\/strong> overlooking the four council seats.<\/p>\n

Assembly of the Deeps<\/h2>\n

Waxmonger Squick<\/a><\/strong> is the quartermaster for the Assembly of the Deeps faction and can be found near the flight master in Gundargaz<\/a><\/strong>, the sanctuary area of the Ringing Deeps zone. Complete the Back to Gundargaz<\/a> quest to unlock Squick and the Assembly of the Deeps faction. After you complete the\u00a0The War Within <\/em>campaign another Assembly of the Deeps quartermaster, Waxmonger Quiwick, appears next to Auditor Balwurz in Dornogal’s Foundation Hall.<\/p>\n

Hallowfall Arathi<\/h2>\n

Auralia Steelstrike<\/a> <\/strong>represents the Hallowfall Arathi and is found inside the tent at the base of a large wall underneath Mereldar’s flight master<\/strong><\/a>. Once you complete The Light of the Dawntower<\/a> quest, you’ll be able to access her vendor rewards. Completing the Hallowfall story quests will make Auralia move to middle of Mereldar in the town square<\/a><\/strong>. Her former position will then be occupied by an Arathi NPC who will inform you of her new location.<\/p>\n

Severed Threads<\/h2>\n

The Severed Threads quartermaster, Y’tekhi<\/a><\/strong>, can be found in the middle of Azj-Kahet in The Weaver’s Lair<\/a> sanctuary<\/strong>. When players complete The Tangled Web<\/a> quest for The Weaver, Y’tekhi’s wares become available.<\/p>\n

Earning extra reputation with The War Within<\/em> factions<\/h2>\n

In\u00a0The War Within,\u00a0<\/em>faction reputation will be shared across your Warband<\/a> and your highest Renown level earned on one character will apply to all. Each quartermaster will also sell Technique: Contracts, consumable items created through Inscription that grant extra reputation when you complete a Khaz Algar world quest. Using this contract applies to your entire Warband and lasts through the weekly reset. In other words, your entire Warband can earn extra reputation with one faction per week only<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As of The War Within<\/em> beta, purchasing each technique from a quartermaster costs 150 Artisan’s Acuity<\/a>, and requires Khaz Algar Inscription level 35, a specific Renown level with the faction you’re making the contract for, and specific materials to make each contract.<\/p>\n
